Don Orsino, the limoncello that speaks with the sea
Don Orsino is born from a simple, stubborn question: why should Italian limoncello give up gastronomic complexity just to please liquid tourism? Here the peels — green and ripe in declared percentages — meet disciplined sugar and an alcohol that does not burn the citrus narrative.
Tyrrhenian seawater enters the recipe as structure: it does not cover the lemon, it lengthens the finish, adding a savoury trace that recalls the Calabrian coast when the wind is dry. It is the kind of detail a serious workshop does not boast about — but the palate recognises it.
The name honours the nineteenth-century tone of our imaginary: Crawford, tower, slow reading. Don Orsino is not a shouted-label character: it is a short chapter to drink after dinner, when the day's noise has settled.
«Not counter sweetness — a conversation between zest, salt and time.»
